Today we heard from Gina Iuliano Marrello, Superintendent of Student Success, Toronto Catholic District School Board who talked about her role in supporting teachers and students during the pandemic and about the development of the online learning curriculum and during the summer months the hard work developing; the hybrid combination of in-class and virtual learning program and the health and safety protocols to keep everybody safe. She discussed high teacher and administrative stress levels about being back in class and that 25% of elementary kids and 44% of high school students had stress as well. She also told us about a new 100% online school for 25,000 students they set up for those that elect to stay at home.
