Jim Anastasiadis thanks Ray Scheepstra of Mercy Ships for his presentation last Thursday at TERC. Mercy Ships operates the world's largest charity hospital ship-providing free life-changing surgeries and training in Africa. Staffed by a volunteer crew, every dollar received is leveraged by gifts-in-kind from corporations and volunteers so that it provides $3 of health for every$1 raised. To date, in 40 years, Mercy Ships has directly touched the lives of more than 2.6 million people providing $1.3 billion in free health care. Our speaker is from their Alumni, who share stories of life on-board and of the courage of the patients and the families served.Ray Scheepstra from Mercy Ships
