Supporting Vulnerable Communities

Allison is a food entrepreneur and consultant who works with social purpose organizations to develop programs that support marginalized communities. Due to the effects of COVID-19 and its impact on the food industry, Allison is focused on planning and implementing food access programs to support vulnerable members of under-resourced communities and food incubation programs to support food entrepreneurs throughout all stages of their journey.

Join us for a session with food entrepreneur and impact consultant Allison Gibson to learn about her work supporting the most vulnerable members of our communities via food access programs, and how you can get involved with supporting her initiatives or starting your own.

- For the session Allison will discuss:
    • COVID-19's impact on our food industry and supply chains
    • How access to food needs to be democratized in order to increase access for those who need it most
    • Ways to support your community via food programming (I will share examples of programs that I am part of)
    • Why supporting food entrepreneurs is key to ensuring that we are able to return to enjoying food establishments post-COVID
