Dec. 19, 2024 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Help us make a difference. On Thursday, December 19th, members of the Toronto East Rotary Club and supporters will gather at the East York Memorial Arena for our 7th Annual Skate-a-thon—a day filled with dedication, community, and love. This year’s event is especially meaningful, as it honors the memory of Joe Runza, the Skate-a-thon founder and cherished Rotary member who sadly left us this year. Joe’s passion for helping others lives on through this event, which he started to support cancer patients during their most challenging times. We will be skating 100 laps in an hour to raise crucial funds for cancer patient care. Your donation can be a part of this effort, providing much-needed financial assistance and basic needs for in-need oncology patients at Michael Garron Hospital. Every dollar goes directly to support those facing the toughest battles, helping to ease their burdens and bring hope. Together, let’s skate, donate, and honor Joe’s legacy by giving patients the support and strength they need. |
